TAGD Business Meetings
About TAGD Regular Business Meetings
The Texas Alliance of Groundwater Districts holds regular business meetings in the winter and late spring to provide our members with the opportunity to engage in important organizational matters, hear timely presentations and updates in a speaker series, and network with the groundwater community.
TAGD business may include committee updates, financial approvals, dues settings, policy/bylaw revisions, representative appointments, and annual reports. In addition to our business agenda, we’ll feature a speaker series covering key issues impacting GCDs, legislative updates, funding opportunities, success stories, and more. Whether you’re looking for refresher sessions on the basics or insights into current trends, there’s something for everyone. At the end of the business meeting, we typically hold a networking happy hour with drinks and light bites (sponsorships available!) to allow everyone to catch up informally.

GCD Boot Camp: Tools of the Trade
TAGD is pleased to continue the GCD Boot Camp series, where participants learn the ropes of how GCDs operate. Join us the morning of January 15 for a training on some “tools of the trade” that GCDs can use to enhance their district’s communications. Don’t worry about where or when to grab lunch – registration for this training includes a plated lunch! Click here to register and view the agenda.
Who should attend? Anyone who regularly communicates on behalf of their district! Participants will learn about tools to streamline communications so you can spend less time answering the same 5 questions on the phone or sending emails, and more time on the hundreds of other tasks you need to do.
Public Funds Investment Act Training - Coming Spring 2025
TAGD is proud to offer Public Funds Investment Act Training, taught by Greg Ellis, that specifically focuses on the requirements and challenges faced by groundwater conservation districts. This training will take place in conjunction with the spring business meeting, more details to come.
