Legislative Committee
The Legislative Committee is responsible for informing the membership of relevant pending legislation. If possible, the committee will develop a position and act on such legislation with approval from the Executive Committee. This committee is also responsible for initiating legislative proposals, policies and resolutions for presentation to TAGD.

30 TAC 230 Suggested Revisions
In December, 2023, TAGD’s Legislative Committee approved and the Executive Committee confirmed submitting suggested revisions to TCEQ for the rules regarding groundwater availability certifications contained in 30 Texas Administrative Code 230. These suggestions are aimed at implementing SB 2440 and generally improving the groundwater availability certification process. Click here to view the Word document with suggested revisions.

On March 10, 2022 House Speaker Dade Phelan released interim charges to the committees of the Texas House of Representatives. You can view them here.
